Today my choice mug came out of the glaze kiln. I glazed it blue with a white inside and white sponged on the outside. I had hoped that the white sponged on the outside would create a nice texture, but I forgot that the white glaze isn't completely opaque, so it just sort of faded away. The glazes on the inside combined really well together and are very complimentary.
On Tuesday we worked on our coil pot project. My group is Jennae and Maddy, and we will be giving our pot to Don, the janitor.
Today I threw a small bowl and a cylinder, which will become a mug. The bowl broke when I footed it, but the mug turned out well. It's a little bit on the small side, but it'll be perfect to give to my foster brother.
